THE LAWS OF SOWING AND REAPING

What does the Bible say about sowing and reaping? Actually, it is very clear and concise in the matter. In short, what we sow, is directly proportional and relative to what we reap, or vice versa. God has given certain spiritual laws for us to follow and it is up to us whether or not we are going to sow to those laws or sow to rebellion of His commandments. Although we may have an understanding of this subject, we need to know also exactly what the Bible says.

1. The sinful aspect of sowing.

A. Job 4:8

B. Pr 6:14

C. Pr 22:8

D. Hos 8:7

2. The harvest of sin.

A. It will be disappointing. Isa 17:11

B. It is one of no profit. Jer 12:13

C. Judgment day is coming. Joel 3:12,13; Rev 14:15

D. Proportional and relational to the sin. Gal 6:8

3. Sowing to the Spiritual.

A. Ps 126:5

B. Hosea 10:12

C. Gal 6:8 (Proportional and relational to the sowing of righteousness.)

4. A spiritual harvest.

A. It is plentiful. Lk 10:2

B. It is ripe to harvest. Jn 4:35

C. A promise of reaping. Gal 6:9
