Why I believe what I believe
Life Changing Doctrines
I believe that the entire Bible is Holy Spirit inspired and profitable for doctrine, reproof and correction in righteousness. It is truth and life to those seeking God. Jesus said “Know the truth and the truth will set you free.” I am free
I believe that God who does exist eternally, has always been and always will be the same characteristically and is superior to any created being. He is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent; never anything less because of who He is. His Sovereignty is unquestionable because He is “God” and we as created beings have no right to ask Him “Why?”. He also exists as three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God made flesh, came to earth conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, led a sinless life as a human being to suffer and die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. He now sits at the right hand of the God the Father eternally a man who intercedes for us. He will one day return in power to gather the elect and rule His creation.
Every human being sins. There is none good, no not one. That is why we need to be cleansed and the only way that happens is by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We are justified not by anything that we do but by the faith we have in Jesus Christ. We must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit which is necessary for the on going work of salvation. If we continue in this faith, we will be saved and enter into eternal life. Though God’s grace in a person’s life goes far beyond our understanding, there is a point where one’s salvation can be lost.
Jesus Christ did not just die for the spiritual man but also for our physical healing. By His stripes we are healed physically.
The Holy Spirit dwells within us as believers allowing us to live victorious godly lives, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit. To those who desire more from God, the dunamis power of God is available in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The only evidence of which is speaking in other tongues. The gifts of the Holy Spirit spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12 are to be practiced in the Church today.
In water baptism, the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit which is the Lord Jesus Christ is invoked upon a person as they are fully immersed in water. Water baptism is an identifying with the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord.
Communion is a time of worship. It is a time of reflection, repentance and remembrance. It is to be done on a regular basis as an ordinance of the church remembering that we are redeemed by His blood and physically healed by His stripes.
I believe in the reality and existence of our enemy, Satan and his armies of evil. He is a created being and does not have the attributes of God; omnipresence, omnipotence or omniscience. He has no more ability to harm a person of God than God allows. He and his demons may be able to oppress us but can never possess.
Ephesians 4:10-12 says that when Jesus ascended, He gave gifts to men until the unity of the faith. These offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, should be recognized and operating in the church, and these offices are to be filled with qualified men only. Along with these ascension gifts, the offices of elder and deacon are to be an integral part of the Church structuring.
God is calling and preparing the Church to be a bride for his Son which shall be made up of perfected people. This bride will be taken into the wilderness for a period of 3 ½ years and be protected by God from the Antichrist who will cause all those who remain and name the name of Christ to be killed. At the end of this 3 ½ years this company of people shall be caught up in the air to meet Jesus Christ as He returns to earth with the dead in Christ who have risen from their graves.
I believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life the lost to eternal punishment. The saved shall sit before the Bema seat in judgment of their works as Christians where those works are tried by fire. The rewards may be lost but their salvation shall remain. The lost shall sit before the Great White Throne judgment at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ. These are people who have had their names blotted out of the Lamb's book of life.
Some other things I believe from the Scriptures
God has a plan for Israel; Both natural Israel and spiritual Israel. We as Christians should pray for Israel and love the ‘Jews’.
